Six built starter sites assembled from Emily Components patterns. Token-driven starting points — not finished sites.

How starters work

Each starter is a complete page (or small site) with its own emily.config.json and built CSS. Re-branding is a config edit plus a rebuild — never an HTML edit. All copy and images are placeholders you must replace before shipping.

Six of fourteen starter entries in the component manifest are built today. The remaining eight (health/wellness, hospitality/venue, consultant/freelancer, event, course/workshop, grant microsite, ecommerce, membership) are planned, not shipped — compose from built templates instead of promising them.

Pick by situation

`local-service-business`

Pick when: A trade or service business serving an area — plumber, electrician, cleaner. The most complete reference starter.

Signature sections: Hero, trust strip, services grid, why-us split, CTA band, quote form.

`one-page-business`

Pick when: A small business that needs everything on one scrolling page — the fastest to launch. Fewer than ~5 services and no blog.

Signature sections: Sticky header with anchor nav, services, about, testimonials, FAQ, contact.

`professional-services`

Pick when: A firm selling expertise where credibility does the selling: advisory, legal, accounting.

Signature sections: Utility top bar, credentials strip, process steps, team, client outcomes, consultation form.

`charity-community`

Pick when: A charity or community organisation.

Signature sections: Mission hero, impact stats, programmes, story with pull quote, donate CTA (external link), volunteer form.

`portfolio-case-study`

Pick when: A work-led business where the portfolio sells: studio, maker, agency.

Signature sections: Portfolio grid with flush-image cards, featured case study, approach, contact band.

`campaign-landing`

Pick when: One campaign, one conversion goal — PPC or offer traffic. Never send ads to a full homepage.

Signature sections: Minimal chrome (logo + phone), offer alert, message-matched hero, single short form, noindex.

Placeholders and images

Starter copy and images are placeholders — replace them before shipping.
Examples use local placeholder paths only. There is no live third-party image host dependency and no source.unsplash.com.
For prototyping, download and license images locally (Unsplash is fine for this, used that way).
Production projects should use approved, licensed images or a proper image pipeline.
